<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nell&#8217;ultimo periodo, alcune bici stanno uscendo con il rinvio della catena in alto per far lavorare meglio il sistema ammortizzante (<a href="https://www.365mountainbike.it/approfondimenti/cose-il-pedal-kickback-o-pedal-feedback-nella-mtb/">meno pedal kickback</a>). Una posizione del perno in alto e avanzato, darà al percorso della ruota posteriore un movimento verso l’alto e all’indietro: tale movimento aiuta il superamento dei grossi ostacoli oltre a contribuire all’efficienza in pedalata.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Gli svantaggi possono essere una minor scorrevolezza, comunque il rinvio catena si fa sentire, e una difficoltà in più a mantenere il carro posteriore corto (ecco perché questo schema ammortizzante lo troviamo sulle bici votate al gravity). La maggior parte delle bici con perno alto utilizza un link per guidare l’ammortizzatore, consentendo un controllo della curva di progressione.</p>
