Per decidere l’ordine di partenza, oltre agli infortuni, ci sono state le qualifiche. Oggi il più veloce è stato Bernard Kerr (nonostante la brutta caduta subita nelle prove) davanti ad Adam Brayton e al giovanissimo Jackson Goldstone.

Alcuni atleti non hanno gareggiato in qualifica (o terminata) ma potranno comunque correre oggi. E Gee Atherton? Si piazza al 7° posto in mezzo a rider internazionali, inossidabile.
